The nearly wordless Caldecott-winning book follows a squadron of frogs as they fly through the night on lilypads; PW called the visuals stunning: slightly surrealistic, imbued with mood and mystery. News about children's books, picture books, young adult books, kids' and YA authors, and kids' book events and trade shows, plus the Children's Bookshelf Newsletter.

I'm super duper excited thank you all for your encouragement as many of you know more then a year ago I had major Neck surgery. Going thru the extreme discomfort and pain and meeting other adults and kids in the hospital struggling with maintaining hope for their future (and my own) I was inspired to write a fun, uplifting children's book based on having faith, hope and perseverance. Before going to sleep, a little rabbit says goodnight to all his familiar possessions as his big, green bedroom slowly darkens. Tucked away in bed, the little bunny says "Goodnight room, goodnight moon." And to all the familiar things in the softly lit room — to the picture of the three little bears sitting in chairs, to the clocks and his socks, to the mittens and the kittens.

13 weird, wrong and wonderful children's book titles that mean something totally different to adults. Forget the likes of 'Paddington Bear' - it's ALL about modern classic 'Everyone Poops'.   The precocious pet rabbit of the vice president of the United States is hopping into a book deal.
